Ethiopian Airlines, took delivery of its 35th Boeing 737 MAX on 11 July 2025. The aircraft registered as ET-BAK, arrived at Dublin Airport directly from Paine Field, Washington, at 10:21 AM local time, carrying the callsign ‘ETH9201’.

This addition to the airline’s fleet is part of Ethiopian Airlines’ ongoing strategy to expand its global presence and modernize its fleet. After a brief stay, the 737 MAX departed from Dublin on 13 July at 08:18 AM local time, once again under the callsign ‘ETH9201’, heading directly to its final destination in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Ethiopian Airlines is Africa’s largest and most successful carrier, renowned for its operational excellence and its focus on modern, fuel-efficient aircraft. The airline’s impressive fleet includes 142 aircraft, featuring state-of-the-art models such as the Airbus A350-900, A350-1000, alongside Boeing 737 MAXes, 737-800s, 777s, and 787s, as well as De Havilland Q400s.
