Turkish Airlines operated a one-time charter flight from Istanbul to Cork on Saturday, 31 May 2025, carrying the Republic of Ireland women’s national football team following their UEFA Women’s Nations League Group B fixture against Türkiye.
The match, held on Friday, 30 May, at Esenler Stadium in Istanbul, saw Ireland clinch a 2-1 victory over the host nation. The chartered service, operated under flight number THY3620/1, utilized a Boeing 737-8F2 aircraft registered TC-JHR (msn 40989).
The aircraft touched down at Cork Airport at 15:32 local time and departed back to Istanbul at 16:53. The flight was arranged to facilitate the team’s direct return following their away fixture, as part of logistical support for their Nations League campaign.
