Aer Lingus operated a one-time Dublin-Dusseldorf service (EIN352/3) on Sunday 11 March 2025, using two-class, 317-seat Airbus A330-202 registered EI-GEY (msn 441) in lieu of 174-seat Airbus A320-200 aircraft, due to a nationwide strike at 13 German airports on Monday 12 March 2025.

The A330 deployment highlights Aer Lingus’ strategic approach to leveraging its fleet for market opportunities. The Airbus A330-300, with its remarkable versatility, is capable of efficiently serving a wide range of routes, from short-haul sectors to long-haul routes, with impressive seat-mile costs.
