Lufthansa City Airlines, has unveiled its updated summer 2025 flight schedule, adding six new destinations, including the Dublin-Munich route, effective from 2nd March. The route will operate twice daily using 180 economy seat Airbus A320neo aircraft.
By July 2025, the airline will offer up to 122 weekly flights on 13 routes from Munich (MUC), all under the VL code. Lufthansa City Airlines, operating with its own Air Operator Certificate (AOC), features aircraft marked with “Lufthansa City” on their fuselage, emphasizing the brand’s distinct identity.
Additionally, in 2023, the Lufthansa Group placed an order for 40 Airbus A220-300 aircraft, with 20 more options, to be deployed on short-haul routes from Frankfurt and Munich starting in 2026.
The Lufthansa CityLine fleet comprises of 45 aircraft including the Airbus A319, Airbus A320neo, Airbus A321P2F and Bombardier CRJ900.
