Avianca adds former Irish operated Boeing 787 - IrishAero - Irish Aviation Research Institute

Avianca added N798AV Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner formerly operated by Norwegian Long Haul as EI-LNC as a key part of the carrier’s strategy to simplify fleet and expand international route network.

N798AV Boeing 787-8 msn 34795 delivered Glasgow Oslo Gardermoen to Medellin 16 November on lease from UMB Bank routing over Dublin as per Flightradar24. The aircraft was delivered as EI-LNC to Norwegian Long Haul at Oslo Gardermoen 27 November 2013.

In October 2021 Avianca announced it selected the Boeing 787-8 aircraft as its only widebody aircraft type for long haul flights, supporting the airline’s current and future route and capacity needs and to drive efficiency and profitability with a reduced environmental footprint.
