London Heathrow announced almost 8 million passengers travelled through Heathrow in July, seeing the UK’s hub retain gold spot on the podium as the busiest airport in Europe in the first half of the year, ahead of Amsterdam Schiphol, Frankfurt Main, Madrid and Paris Charles de Gaulle.

The airport announced Doha and Dublin joined Dubai and JFK as the latest routes with one million passengers travelling to and from Heathrow this year.

International Airlines Group (IAG) carriers Aer Lingus operates up to 15 flights daily and British Airways operates up to 8 flights daily with an increasing number of flights are operated by Airbus A320neo and Airbus A321neo aircraft.
