Latvian carrier AirBaltic resumed summer season service between its Riga Hub and Dublin effective 11 March operating twice weekly (Wednesdays/Sundays) using 148 seat Airbus A220-300 aircraft.

According to AirBaltic’s online booking engine route is open for reservations till 6 January 2025 operating revised winter 2024/5 schedule from 31 October on Mondays and Thursdays.

airBaltic is the largest Airbus 220-300 operator in the world operating 47 aircraft, and in November 2023, announced a firm purchase agreement for 30 more A220-300 aircraft with purchase rights for an additional 20 aircraft of the same type. The A220-300 is the most modern airliner in its size category, carrying between 120 to 150 passengers on flights of up to 3,450 nautical miles (6,390 km).

The Airbus A220-300 is the greenest commercial aircraft in the world, as it is the first aircraft to have a transparent declaration of the life-cycle environmental impact, helping to reduce CO2 and NOX emissions by 20% and 50% respectively. The aircraft offers 25% lower fuel burn and CO2 emissions per seat compared to previous generation aircraft and is already able to operate with up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
