German website Skyliner Aviation reported EI-CPH Airbus A321-211 msn 1094 Aer Lingus  named ‘St Dervilla / Dearbhile’ was ferried Ciudad Real  to Lasham on Friday 11 February prior to P2F conversion.  According to Flightradar24 data the aircraft arrived in Lasham at 1433 local as EIN2537.

The aircraft had a historic role in the visit of Pope Francis to Ireland in August 2018 for a two-day visit. On Sunday 27 August the aircraft operated as EIN2408 Dublin to Rome Ciampino departed at 1900 hours under the command of Captains Steve Kelly and Shane Kearney using ATC callsign ‘Shepherd 1’. 

The chartered Aer Lingus A321 accommodated 126 guests, including Pope Francis and key members of the Vatican, members of the wider Vatican delegation, security staff and journalists.

The aircraft positioned Dublin to Ciudad Real on 7 October 2020 as EIN2592 for long term storage, after being withdrawn from service on 21 March 2020. 

This aircraft made a historical flight on Sunday 27 August 2018 operating as a ‘Shepard 1’ carrying Pope Francis from Dublin to Rome Ciampino following official visit to Ireland. 

EI-CPH first flew on 20 September 1999 and  delivered on 22 November 1999.
