Aer Lingus has deployed two-class, 317-seat Airbus A330-300 aircraft on selected services between Dublin and Italy, responding to market demand, providing additional capacity on Italian routes. According to Flightradar data.
The Irish carrier operated one-time A330-300 services on the Dublin–Rome Fiumicino route (EIN404/405) on 9 September and 19 September 2026. The flights were operated by two-class, 317-seat A330-302s EI-EDY (msn 1025) and EI-EIK (msn 0789), respectively, replacing the carrier’s standard 174-seat Airbus A320-200 equipment.
Aer Lingus also deployed EI-EIK on a one-off Dublin–Verona service (EIN412/413) on 12 September, again substituting for the 174-seat A320-200 capacity.
The deployment highlights Aer Lingus’ focus on leveraging the versatility of its A330 fleet to capture market opportunities. The Airbus A330-300 is capable of supporting a broad range of missions, from short-haul European sectors to long-haul operations, offering strong seat-mile economics and operational flexibility.
