Aer Lingus operated a one-time Dublin-Brussels National service (EIN630/1) on Wednesday 9 September 2026, using two-class, 317-seat Airbus A330-302 registered EI-EDY (msn 1025) in lieu of 174 Seat Airbus A320-200 aircraft, presumably due to high demand from meetings arising from Ireland’s EU Presidency.
The A330 deployment highlights Aer Lingus’ strategic approach to leveraging its fleet for market opportunities. The Airbus A330-300, with its remarkable versatility, is capable of efficiently serving a wide range of routes, from short-haul sectors to long-haul routes, with impressive seat-mile costs.
