SE-RYL Boeing 737 MAX 8 msn 42825 Norwegian named “Jonathan Swift” departed Dublin to Bergen on Friday 17th September as ‘NAX1UT’ at 1316 local. The 737 MAX aircraft had been grounded since the world-wide grounding of the aircraft type was imposed on 12 March 2019.

The aircraft was formerly registered as EI-FYC. 

According to Flightradar24 on 21st September SE-RYL was ferried Bergen (BGO) to Montreal (YUL) and onwards to Marana (MZJ).

In an interview Danish aviation website Check.In DK Norwegian CEO Geir Karlsen said over time the carrier will get the MAX back in its fleet.
