Laudamotion Airbus A321-200 |
In interview with German aviation website aero Telegraph Laudamotion Managing Director Andreas Gruber said the carrier planned to operate 27 aircraft in Summer 2019 comprising of 21 Airbus A320 and 6 Boeing 737-800 leased from parent company Ryanair.
In summer 2020 the airline will be operationally independent of Ryanair fleet wise a fleet of 30 Airbus A320 aircraft and in 2021 40 Airbus A320 aircraft in the long-term goal of the carrier is to operate 100 aircraft.
Managing Director Andreas Gruber said the carrier could expand outside core markets of Austria and Germany adding “Zurich is an incredibly interesting market”.
According to Austrian Aviation Net Laudamotion is due return its four leased Airbus A321-200 aircraft to Lufthansa for Eurowings operation.
Laudamotion operates a daily Dublin to Vienna service operated by Airbus A320/321 aircraft and seasonal weekly service to Innsbruck operated by Airbus A320 aircraft.
