Ryanair signed a new 10 year collaborative agreement on Wednesday with Brussels South Charleroi Airport (BSCA) committing the carrier to operating at Charleroi till 2022 at least , according to Benelux media outlets, under the agreement BSCA continues to provide ground handling services to Ryanair.

Ryanair accounts 80% of total traffic with 15 based Boeing 737-800s operating 79 routes , in addition to Jetairfly (4 based Boeing 737s) and Wizzair.

Brussels South Charleroi Airport handled 5.901 million passengers in 2011 adopting ‘managable growth’ by utilising airport capacity in off-peak hours to cope with passenger growth. In April 2012, BSCA was voted “World’s 3rd best low cost airport” and it is well known as The Friendly Airport.
