Ryanair announced in the rolling 12 months to 31st December 2012 it carried a record 79.6 million passengers up 4%, in December a total of 4.84 million passengers where carried with a load factor of 81% up 2%.

Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said “Ryanair enjoyed another record breaking year in 2012 with almost 80m passengers choosing one of our ultra-low fares between Jan and Dec 2012”.

The airline expected to carry 9.5 million passengers from Ireland in 2012 (Irish Examiner 5th October 2012), with traffic growth at Ireland West Airport Knock and Kerry airports.

Ryanair operates a fleet of 305 Boeing 737-800s from 51 European bases operating 1500 + routes. In Ireland Ryanair has 2 Boeing 737-800s based in Cork (10 routes) , 14 in Dublin (57 routes) and 1 in Shannon (4 routes), and operates routes from City of Derry Airport, Ireland West Airport Knock (4 routes) and Kerry Airport (3 routes).
