Norwegian Air Shuttle commercially branded ‘Norwegian’, took delivery of its 50th new 737-800 from Boeing Field on Monday 1st October, LN-NGE Boeing 737-8JP c/n 39050 arriving at it’s home base in Oslo-Gardermoen on Tuesday 2nd October.

Established in 2002, Norwegian is now the second largest airline in Scandinavia and the third largest low-cost airline in Europe. The aircraft is painted in the children’s rights organization UNICEF’s colors and logo to mark the Norwegian and UNICEF partnership, and named “Commemorative Air”.

Norwegian and UNICEF partnership has been in place since 2007.

Norwegian Air Shuttle has a fleet of 56 Boeing 737-800s with a further 51 on order plus two options.
