Ryanair Group carrier Malta Air has taken delivery of six Boeing 737-8-200 MAX aircraft completing deliveries for Summer 2021 season.  The Ryanair Group has taken delivery of 12 Boeing 737-8-200 aircraft with a further 198 aircraft on order for further between 2021 and 2024. 

9H-VUE Boeing 737-8-200 positioned from Dublin to Milan Bergamo on 20th July as RYR80 to be based. The Ryanair Group plans to base five Boeing 737-8-200 in Bergamo in 2021 increasing to 10 by Summer 2022 progressively replacing existing Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The Ryanair Group has 20 Boeing 737s based in Bergamo operating 109 routes.

9H-VUC Boeing 737-8-200 positioned from Dublin to Malta on 27th July as “AL7242” for a press event to concide with Ryanair Group expanison at its Malta Base announcing nine new routes.  Malta Air fleet will expand from 6 to 10 aircraft based on the island by 2022. 

Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects Ian Borg said “I welcome this new Malta Air B737-8200 aircraft; the first, we hope, of many to Malta. This new aircraft addition to the Malta register is a strong endorsement of the excellence and professionalism of Malta’s Civil Aviation Directorate.
