German Aviation website Skyliner Aviation reported N206JB Embraer ERJ-190AR msn 19000025 JetBlue Airways ferried Middle Georgia Regional Airport- Gander-Ireland West Airport on 27-28 December 2024 for Australia carrier Alliance Air.
However Planespotters.net reports this airframe for Alliance Air was not taken up, and registered on 18 December to Scissortail Aviation LLC with remark ‘Purchased for spare parts’. The FAA registry confirms the aircraft is registered to Scissortail Aviation LLC, Oklahoma City for export to Lithuania.
JetBlue Airways announced as part of its “JetForward” plan, the carrier will make adjustments to its fleet, including retiring its remaining 17 Embraer E190 aircraft by end of 2025 to simplify fleet to two types Airbus A220-300 & A320 family aircraft.
The carrier stated in Q2 results it realized $70 million in cumulative cost savings from its fleet modernization program, which is now expected to deliver $100 million in cost savings through 2024, vs. $75 million previously, as it continues to replace the Embraer E190s with the margin-accretive Airbus A220-300s which have 90% more premium seats and deliver 30% lower unit costs, on average, vs. Embraer 190s.
