Avic Leasing buys 737 from Avolon


Air Finance Journal reported Chinese lessor Avic Leasing has purchased a 737-800 (MSN 38746) from Irish lessor Avolon, according to sources.

AWAS delivers second planned new A321 passenger aircraft on lease to VietJet Air


AWAS on Tuesday 10th November that it has delivered on lease to customer airline VietJet Air a second, new planned A321 passenger aircraft to assist with the airline’s strong growth. The aircraft is a production A321 with a 230Y seating layout and with a new aft galley/lav configuration to maximise the opportunity on their high-density trunk routes like Ho Chi Minh City-Hanoi and other key regional destinations.

FLY Leasing Announces Commencement of Self-Tender Offer for up to $75,000,000 in Aggregate Purchase Price of Its Common Shares 

Fly Leasing Limited announced 18 that it is commencing its previously announced “modified Dutch auction” tender offer for an aggregate purchase price of up to $75,000,000 of its common shares held in the form of American Depositary Shares (the “Shares”) at a price per Share not less than $12.70 and not greater than $14.25. The tender offer will expire at 5:00 P.M., New York City time, on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, unless extended by FLY.

GE Capital Aviation Services Announces Delivery of 500th Boeing Airplane


GE Capital Aviation Services and Boeing announced 21st November delivery of the 500th Boeing airplane to the lessor. The Next-Generation 737-800 will be leased to Kenya Airways and is the 401st 737 delivered to GECAS.

“This is a major milestone in our 20-year association with Boeing,” said Norm Liu, President and CEO, GECAS. “We are proud to take delivery of our 500th Boeing airplane. Boeing is a key business partner providing us with advanced, efficient and reliable airplanes that our airline customers need to be successful in today’s competitive marketplace.”

SMBC Aviation completes a number of transactions


SMBC Aviation delivered 1 x Boeing B737-800 aircraft on lease to Jeju Air on Friday 13th November and Tuesday 17th November sold 1 x leased Airbus A320-200 aircraft to a leasing company based in China.

On 17th November delivered 1 x new Airbus A320-200 aircraft on lease to Peach Aviation as part of SMBC Aviation Capital direct order book and 18th November delivered delivered 1 x Boeing B737-800 aircraft on Lease to COPA Airlines as part of direct order book.

Vermillion to lease two new A330-300 to Lion Air


Vermillion Aviation Holdings Ireland Limited has entered into a lease arrangement with Lion Air for two new Airbus A330-300 aircraft with Rolls Royce Trent 700 engines. MSN1680 was delivery 16th November and the second aircraft is due to be delivered in December.
