Hainan Airlines reinstates Beijing-Dublin route - IrishAero - Irish Aviation Research Institute

Dublin Airport welcomed return of China’s largest independent airline Hainan Airlines direct service between Dublin and Beijing commencing 27 June, operating twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays till 3 October using a two class 292 seat Airbus A330-300 aircraft. The route is the first between Ireland and China since 2020.

Dublin Airport Chief Commercial and Development Officer, Vincent Harrison said “The news that direct flights are re-starting between Dublin Airport and China is great news for our passengers. The service was very popular with passengers last time around and we’re delighted to see it returning for the summer months.”

Hainan prior to global pandemic operated a four times weekly with two direct services to Beijing and two fifth freedom stopover in Edinburgh between June 2018 and October 2019 using Boeing 787-9 aircraft.

China’s capital city Beijing has a population of almost 12 million people and is the most popular destination for air travel between Ireland and China.
