Norwegian Long-Haul has taken delivery of it’s fourth Boeing 787. EI-LND Boeing 787-8 construction number 35310 ModeS 4CAB08, leased from lessor ILFC. The aircraft was delivered Paine Field to Dublin on 26th March as ‘NLH1KA’ in basic Norwegian colours for for post delivery application of decals and tail painting.

EI-LND was named “Grete Waitz” and tail was painted in portrait of Grete Waitz. A nine time New York Women’s Marathon winner and silver medalist at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and a gold medal at the 1983 World Championships in Helsinki.

The aircraft departed Dublin at 1700 hours on Monday 31st March  to Stockholm Arlanda. It positioned to Oslo Gardermoen on 5th April, operating it’s first revenue service as DY7201/2 to and from Bangkok.

Norwegian will take delivery of a further three Boeing 787s in 2014.

Dublin Airport has hosted three Boeing 787s visits to date EI-LNB, EI-LND and N787BX.

Norwegian carried more than 1.8 million passengers in March 2014, an increase of 25% compared to the same month last year. The capacity growth was 51 percent, in absolute terms the highest capacity growth in a single month.
