Dublin based aircraft lessor AerCap delivered first of three of Boeing 787-9’s to Thai Airways, with two remaining aircraft through the fourth quarter of 2025. The decision to procure these aircraft was made in 2023 as part of Thai Airways’ short-term fleet development strategy.

According to Planespotters.net HS-TWC Boeing 787-9 msn 62739 delivered Hanoi to Bangkok 18 May. This aircraft was formerly registered as N62739 to AerCap and as VN-A829 on lease to Bamboo Airways.

Thai Airways operates seat six two class 264 seat Boeing 787-8 and two 298 seat Boeing 787-9 aircraft powered by Rolls Royce Trent 1000 engines.
