Emerald Airlines, the exclusive operator of Aer Lingus Regional franchise announced effective from Thursday 26th May the carrier is significantly increasing capacity on its Belfast City to LBA (Leeds Bradford Airport) route, from six times weekly to thirteen times weekly using ATR72-600 aircraft.

Emerald Airlines Head of Commercial Ciarán Smith said “We’re excited to add additional capacity to our existing service from Leeds to Belfast City from mid-May, and I am sure this additional capacity will prove popular for business customers. In particular, the new morning and afternoon flight facilitates day return options”.

Emerald Airlines launched Belfast City Base operations on 24th March with two ATR72-600 aircraft operating routes to Birmingham, Edinburgh, Leeds Bradford and Manchester with the second phase of expansion to commence on 8th May launching routes to Exeter (5 times weekly) and Glasgow (daily).
