Dublin Airport announced it handled almost 1.2 million in January up 2% on prior year with almost all market segments reporting a positive trend, firstly Passenger volumes to and from continental Europe grew by 3% with just over 557,000 passengers, domestic traffic increased by 9% to 3,900 passengers.

The attractiveness of Dublin Airport as a connecting hub continues with Transatlantic traffic up 12% to 90,000 passengers and other international traffic, principally to the Middle East increased by 50% with more than 47,000 passengers. Dublin to UK traffic recorded a decline of 3% with 460,000 passengers.
