Cityjet expanded its Mitsubishi CRJ1000 fleet with delivery of a third aircraft to supporting growing wet-lease business with Lufthansa, a further two CRJ1000s will join the fleet.
According to Planespotters.net EI-HIA Mitsubishi CRJ-1000EL msn 19006 was delivered Maastricht to Munich 23 August as BCY042P, entering service 30 August as DLH2000/1 to Dusseldorf.
This aircraft was delivered to Brit Air in 2011 as F-HMLC, subequently operated by Air France, HOP, Air France Hop. In December 2022 re-registered as OE-LIZ to EIC Aircraft Leasing in Canada until de-registered in August 2023.
CityJet operates 24 Mitsubishi CRJ900/1000 aircraft on ACMI basis for Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa and SAS Airlines also offers the aircraft in the wet lease and occasionally ad-hoc charter markets.
