Cityjet adds ex Lufthansa CRJ900 to fleet - IrishAero - Irish Aviation Research Institute

Irish ACMI carrier CityJet has taken delivery of a Bombardier CRJ-900LR, registered EI-HSE (msn 15088), on 17 April 2025 for operation on behalf of SAS Scandinavian Airlines. The aircraft will be based in Copenhagen under a wet lease agreement.

According to fleet tracking site Planespotters.net, the jet was originally delivered to Lufthansa CityLine in September 2006 as D-ACKI. It remained with Lufthansa Regional until February 2018, after which it returned to service with Lufthansa under the CityLine brand.

Ahead of its transfer to CityJet, the aircraft was registered in December 2024 to SAMCO Aircraft Maintenance as OE-LOM. The formal handover to CityJet took place in April 2025 in Copenhagen.

CityJet is expected to expand its SAS wet lease fleet further with the addition of two more former Lufthansa CityLine CRJ900s. These include EI-HSC (msn 15084), previously OE-LON, and EI-HSF (msn 15089), formerly D-ACKJ, for SAS Scandinavian Airlines wet lease.
