In an LinkedIn Post Belfast International Airport’s CEO Daniel Owens and CCO Kate Sherry meet NI First Minister Michelle O’Neill, deputy First Minister Emma Little-Pengelly and Economy Minister, Caoimhe Archibald to discuss the importance of growing air connectivity to boosting NI’s economy. A range of topics was discussed, including plans to develop new strategic air routes, the importance of strong air connectivity to Northern Ireland economic competitiveness.

In November Department for the Economy NI Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald announced an additional £400,000 of funding to Tourism Ireland for co-operative marketing for air routes. Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald stated “Through this funding I am pleased to support a key ask of the Tourism Partnership Board to help increase the number of air routes/seats from key markets to increase visitor spend here.”
