ASL Airlines Ireland has phased out the last remaining ATR42 with the departure of EI-FXD on the 7th April. EI-FXD was manufactured on 14th October 1991 and  joined Air Contractors, as it was called then, when she arrived in Dublin from San Antonio on 3rd July 2005. 

The aircraft first scheduled flight was from Birmingham to Paris Charles De Gaulle on 7th July 2005. At 29.5 years, she has accumulated 35,730 hours and 38,898 landings.

ASL Airlines Ireland operated a total of 5 ATR42s which where progressively replaced by larger ATR72F’s on the FedEx contract.

ASL Airlines Ireland operates a fleet of 32 aircraft including ATR72-200/500/600F, Airbus A300-600R(F), Airbus A330-300(P2F), Boeing 737-400(F), Boeing 737-800(BCF).
