Russia carrier Alrosa Avia (Alrosa Air Company) is shortly to take delivery of an former ex Sky Airlines Turkey M-ABFV Boeing 737-83N/WL construction number 32576 on lease from GE Capital Aviation Service (GECAS).
Alrosa is introducing the new “diamond” livery with this delivery.
The aircraft is to take up Irish registration EI-FCH.
This is the first of three Boeing 737-800s to join it’s fleet to replace its current Tupolev 154 fleet by Spring 2014.
Alrosa Avia based in Moscow Vnukovo commenced operations in 1995. The group currently operates 10 aircraft types. In 2008, the fleet was expanded with the Tupolev Tu-134s and Tu-154s, and is wet leasing a Boeing 737-76Q from Yakutia Airlines.
It’s sister company Alrosa Mirny Air Enterprise was founded by the Russian mining company ALROSA), hence the diamond logo connection.
