Air Thanlwin, based in Yangon, Myanmar, has returned ATR72-212A (500) aircraft, XY-AJI (msn 797), to service after a period of storage, according to Skyliner Aviation. The aircraft, formerly registered EI-REP with Aer Arann, is one of two ATR72-500s in the fleet that have Irish roots.

Its sister ship, XY-AJN (msn 787), was also previously with Aer Arann (as EI-REO) before being sold to Myanma Airways in 2013. Myanma Airways rebranded as Air Thanlwin in 2019. The carrier now operates two ATR72-212 and two ATR72-212A (500) aircraft.
