Kazakhstan flag carrier Air Astana has taken delivery of one brand new Airbus A321neo aircraft (EI-KDJ Airbus A321-271NX msn 12738), which arrived directly to the carrier’s base at Almaty International Airport on 17 October from the manufacturer’s facility in Hamburg, Germany.
In an statement Air Astana, said “Despite ongoing challenges in the aviation industry, the airline continues with the steady renewal of its fleet as part of a sustainable growth strategy. The Air Astana Group plans to increase the fleet to 84 aircraft by 2029.”
This is the sixth aircraft of this type to join the Air Astana Group fleet. Air Astana has further plans to grow its fleet by leasing seven Airbus A321neo LR aircraft. Deliveries for these new aircraft will start in 2026. The airline, which is headquartered in Almaty, Kazakhstan, currently operates an fleet of 62 Airbus A320 and A321 family and Boeing 767-300ERs aircraft.
