Aer Lingus to Operate Direct Cork-Rome Flights for Rugby Fans - IrishAero - Irish Aviation Research Institute

Aer Lingus has announced a one-time service between Cork and Rome to cater to rugby fans heading to the Ireland vs Italy match in the Six Nations Championship.

The flights will operate on March 14th and March 16th, offering direct access for Munster supporters traveling to the Stadio Olimpico for the highly anticipated fixture on Saturday, March 15th, 2025, with a 14:15pm kick-off.

The airline will deploy its 174-seat Airbus A320-200 aircraft for the service. The outbound flight, EIN2802, will depart Cork at 12:10, arriving at Rome Fiumicino at 16:10. The return flight, EIN2803, will leave Rome Fiumicino at 20:20, landing back in Cork at 22:20.

The flight is expected to be a popular for rugby fans seeking a quick and convenient journey to witness the match between Cork and Italy in the Italian capital.
