Aer Lingus Regional Belfast City Airport

Emerald Airlines, the exclusive operator of the Aer Lingus Regional network and largest carrier at Belfast City Airport celebrated a major milestone of flying over one million passengers since operations commenced in March 2022 investing over £300 million in the local economy operating 12 routes creating 150 jobs basing seven ATR72-600 aircraft.

Belfast City Airport Aviation Development Manager Ellie McGimpsey said “Since commencing our partnership with Emerald Airlines in March 2022, we have successfully developed an extensive portfolio of routes that provide essential connectivity from Northern Ireland across the UK. This celebration is a testament to this partnership, and we are pleased to be able to give both inbound and outbound passengers a fantastic range of destinations to choose from. We look forward to building on our relationship in the coming years and growing our network even further to continue delivering unrivalled convenience.”
