Dubai-based flydubai has taken delivery of its 13rd brand new Boeing 737 MAX 8, A6-FPI (msn 61036), to its growing 737 MAX fleet. The aircraft departed Boeing Field (BFI) on 18 November at 1618 as FDB9741, arriving Shannon (SNN) next day 19 November at 0905 local. Following an overnight stop, it departed Shannon on 20 November at 0448, landing in Dubai International (DXB) at 1642 local.
Flydubai announced two new aircraft orders at Dubai Air Show flydubai including a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for 150 Airbus A321neos in a contract valued at $24 Billion for delivery from 2031, to support flydubai’s strategy to expand its network, also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Boeing for 75 Boeing 737 MAXs. The new deal allows flydubai to take advantage of the 737 MAX family’s flexibility and commonality, while leveraging the unique size and range of the 737-8, 737-9, and 737-10 models to suits its growing network.
flydubai operates a fleet of 96 Boeing 737 aircraft and includes 27 Next-Generation Boeing 737-800, 66 Boeing 737 MAX 8 and 3 Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft.
