ASL Airlines Ireland has completed the transfer of one of its remaining Boeing 737 Classic freighters to sister carrier ASL Airlines France, marking another step in the ASL Aviation Holdings group’s modernization strategy.
According to data first reported by a German aviation website, Boeing 737-43Q(SF) (MSN 28494), formerly registered as EI-STV, was re-registered as F-GZTR and officially transferred to ASL Airlines France at Brussels (BRU) on October 27.
Flight tracking data from Flightradar24 shows that EI-STV had been parked at Brussels since 29 March , following a positioning flight from Ostrava (OSR) via Leipzig (LEJ) to Brussels on 27 March. The aircraft conducted a two-hour test flight from Brussels on 16 October under callsign ABR737, ahead of its reactivation.
Following re-registration, F-GZTR positioned from Brussels to Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) on October 29, and entered commercial service with ASL Airlines France on 2 November , operating between Paris (CDG) and Porto (OPO) under ASL Belgium flight numbers 3V4246/3V4346.
The transfer comes as ASL Airlines Ireland retired its final four Boeing 737 Classic freighters, closing a significant chapter in the carrier’s operational history. With the departure of EI-STV, ASL Airlines Ireland’s 737 fleet now consists entirely of Next-Generation 737-800BCFs.
