Ryanair passengers flying from Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) can now enjoy a faster and more convenient baggage drop-off experience, thanks to a new self-service solution rolled out in Terminal 2.

In partnership with technology provider Airware, BER has installed four new self-service kiosks tailored specifically for Ryanair travellers. The system integrates seamlessly with the airline’s mobile app, allowing passengers to complete the entire baggage drop process using just their smartphones.

The process is simple: travellers check in online in advance using the Ryanair app, then head to one of the kiosks in Terminal 2. By scanning a QR code, the app connects directly with the kiosk hardware, enabling users to weigh their baggage and print bag tags on the spot. Excess baggage fees are calculated instantly and can be paid directly through the app, using stored payment methods, eliminating the need for interaction with traditional ticket counters or payment terminals.
