ASL Airlines Ireland adds two A300-600F aircraft - IrishAero - Irish Aviation Research Institute

ASL Airlines Ireland has added two Airbus A300F4-605R, on lease from DHL Express (Germany) as the logistics firm moves its entire A300 fleet from Air Hong Kong to Europe. The aircraft registered EI-LDE msn 859 and EI-LDF msn 860 delivered from Amman to Leipzig on 25 November and 27 November respectively.

DHL’s senior vice president for global air fleet management, Malcolm Macbeth, said last year at an ISTAT transport air trading conference, that the logistics firm was moving the A300s from Air Hong Kong due to the lack of technical support for the type in Asia, given the few remaining operators in the region and the A300s being relocated to Europe, where they can receive better attention at lower cost.
