German aviation website Skyliner Aviation reported EI-CVB Airbus A320-214 msn 1394 named ‘St Mobhi / Mobhi W’ Aer Lingus as routed Dublin to St Anthan, Wales 6 November, for part-out and scrap.

According to planespotters.net the aircraft is 23.9 years old, made first 20 December 2000 and was delivered 8 February 2001. The aircraft was withdrawn from service on 25 October 2024 after operating last commercial service EIN349, from Zurich, Switzerland arriving Dublin 2206 local.

Aer Lingus took delivery of two new Airbus A320neo aircraft in June, the A320neo is capable of operating with a 50% SAF blend and Airbus is committed up to 100% SAF and intends to have this capability by 2030.

Further more Aer Lingus will take delivery of the first two of six new brand Airbus A321XLR aircraft in FY24Q4, giving the carrier flexibility to use the type in both long-haul and short-haul markets.
