ASL Airlines Belgium, part of Dublin Based ASL Aviation Holdings, became the first Belgian carrier to operate between China and the U.S. as part of an ‘around the world’ routing.
The bilateral traffic rights recently agreed upon between the Belgian and China, Chinese Civil Aviation Authorities (CAAC). ASL Airlines Belgium can now fly to China and continue the journey to any point beyond China, (like the U.S.) before returning to Belgium.
This new agreement has enabled ASL Airlines Belgium, to embark on this historic adventure, with OE-IFB Boeing 747-4B5F(ER) msn 33516 departing Belgium for China, then refueling in Anchorage (ANC), stopping in New York, before returning to Liège.
