Ryanair announced the launch of a new route from Girona to Jönköping in Southern Sweden operating twice weekly from 1st April 2013 carrying 30,000 passengers on the route in the first year of operation, creating 30 jobs in Jönköping.
Ryanair Nordic Sales and Marketing Director said Jönköping is the eighth Swedish airport to be served by the carrier. Jönköping Airport CEO Sten Norinder said the goal had been to establish a route to Barcelona or London.
