US Airways Airbus A330-200

US Airways announced in November 2013  the use of a larger aircraft on its Philadelphia to Dublin service, an Airbus A330-200 with 252 seats featuring 20 Envoy Suite lie-flat seats and 232 seats in economy, between 29th March and 24th October.

The carrier is the third airline to introduce lie-flat seats on the North Atlantic routes from Ireland after Delta Airlines and United Airlines.

However use of A330-200 ceased on 16th June thereafter service was prominently operated by Boeing 767-200s and occasional Boeing 757-200. Research suggests aircraft change was due to market/operational issues.

On Saturday 2nd August the larger Airbus A330-200 aircraft was reinstated.

US Airways operates a year-round Philadelphia to Dublin service and seasonal service to Charlotte from 6th May to 28th September.
