RwandAir, the national carrier of the Republic of Rwanda, took delivery of it’s fourth brand new Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The aircraft registered 9XR-WR Boeing 737-800 construction number 41357 was delivered Boeing Field-Gander-Shannon-Athens-Kigali between 26 and 28 May.
The aircraft delivery is part of the lease agreement signed in December 2015 between RwandAir and Aircraft Lease Corporation.
The new aircraft will enable the carrier to launch new destinations in Africa such as Conakry (Guinea), Bamako (Mali), and Dakar (Senegal).
RwandAir CEO Chance Ndagano said “This aircraft will be RwandAir’s fourth of its type. It comes to enable new connections on the continent and beyond, as the airline continues to foster economic exchange between Rwanda and the rest of the world.”
