The German leisure carrier Condor has leased four Boeing 767-300’s to DHL Express to carry cargo instead of passengers. The leased aircraft will operate for DHL Express from their base in Leipzig to Cologne/ Bonn, Milan/Malpensa and Shannon. The partnership will initially extend until the end of May. 

D-ABUI Boeing 767-330(ER) msn 26988 operated the first service CFG7160/1 on the Leipzig-Shannon-Leipzig on 22nd February.

Chief Operating Officer Condor Christian Schmitt said  “We have already been operating more cargo flights over the past year and have expanded our expertise here. We are very pleased to now also work with such an experienced partner as DHL Express. The partnership also shows that Condor can flexibly adapt to circumstances in special situations and thus contribute an important part to the international supply chain in cooperation with DHL.”

DHL Express Senior Vice President Aviation Europe Markus Otto said “This partnership between cargo and passenger carriers is unique. It allows us to react even faster and more flexibly to the continued high demand for international express service. The additional capacity through Condor allows us to further improve service quality and transit times, and maintain our growth trajectory.”

Condor currently flies to the Canary Islands, Egypt, Cuba, the Maldives and the Dominican Republic for its vacation segment. Condor is based in Frankfurt Main and currently operates a fleet of 6 Airbus A320-200 and 14 Boeing 767-300 aircraft.
