In a slot exchange report filed 8 September with ACL Airport Coordination Limited Aer Lingus permanently exchanged 68 Slots per week to Sun Air (EZ) at London City Airport. The Danish carrier, who operate under a franchise agreement with British Airways.

BA Cityflier operates London City to Dublin 36 times weekly using two class Embraer 190 aircraft, Aer Lingus maintains a presence on the route through a code-share agreement with the carrier.

The last passenger flight Cityjet flight on behalf of Aer Lingus between Dublin and London City Airport took place on March 24, 2020, a day before the airport closed due to COVID-19 In May 2020 Aer Lingus ended its Cityjet contract to operate 35 weekly services between Dublin and London City Airport using RJ85 aircraft.

On 7 November 2020 Cityjet retired the RJ85 fleet from service after 22 years in the skies with the departure of EI-RJF RJ85 MSN 2337 to North America following sale to new owners Aero-Flite joining another nine former Cityjet aircraft in a new role as fire fighting following conversion.
