Aer Lingus operated an Airbus A321LR on its Dublin–London Heathrow–Ireland West Airport rotation on Sunday 9 August, marking the second appearance of the type at Ireland West Airport.
The carrier deployed EI-LRF Airbus A321-253NX(LR) (MSN 10264) named “St Gelasius” on the four-sector W-pattern operation EIN156/915/916/161. The rotation operated Dublin–London Heathrow–Ireland West–London Heathrow–Dublin, with the A321LR substituting for the route’s scheduled 186-seat A320neo.

The two-class A321XLR’s features 184 seats, including 16 full-flat Business Class seats and 168 Economy seats, all equipped with Airbus’ Airspace Cabin for enhanced passenger comfort. The aircraft is powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines, offering 30% lower fuel burn and reduced emissions compared to previous models. It is also capable of using up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), aligning with Aer Lingus’ sustainability goals.
Aer Lingus operates a fleet of eight Airbus A321LR aircraft connecting its Dublin hub to smaller, thinner transatlantic markets in North America and from Shannon to Boston and New York JFK as well as high-demand European and UK trunk routes.
