Kazakhstan flag carrier Air Astana has taken delivery of one brand new Airbus A321neo aircraft (EI-KDK Airbus A321-271NX msn 13032 ex D-AZXM) which arrived directly to the carrier’s base at Almaty International Airport on 2 April 2026, from Airbus factory in Hamburg, Germany. In an statement Air Astana, said “The aircraft has become the 63rd in the Air Astana Group’s fleet and will support further capacity growth and the development of the airline’s route network.”
Last month Air Astana Group, has signed a firm order for 25 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft, the largest ever direct order by the group. The agreement was made on the 20th anniversary since Air Astana started operating its first A320 in 2006. The fleet is predominantly made up of Airbus aircraft, comprising of 42 A320/A321neo family aircraft and 18 A320/A321ceo aircraft and 3 Boeing 767-300(ER).
