Today Sunday 28 October the IATA Winter Scheduled commenced with a significant increase in capacity on the Dublin to Frankfurt Main route with passengers having a choice of three carriers operating Aer Lingus, Lufthansa and Ryanair.
With increased seat capacity estimated weekly seats available is 20,920.
Aer Lingus will operate 17 weekly rotations with the addition of 3 new weekly rotations on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays operated by Airbus A320 aircraft. The inaugural service was operated by EI-CVA.
Lufthansa will be operate 34 weekly rotations with the addition of a fifh daily frequency DLH984/5 operated by Airbus A320 aircraft The inaugural service was operated by D-AIUD.
Ryanair will operate 12 weekly rotations operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The inaugural service RYR381/380 was operated by EI-EBY.
Yesterday Ryanair operated it’s final service on the Dublin-Frankfurt Hahn which had been operating four time weekly as the carrier increasingly focuses growth on primary airports.
